Direct Deliveries

Direct Delivery Service

We are pleased to offer a direct delivery service from our suppliers, which we hope you will find both efficient and convenient. Whilst we always try to cooperate with customer’s requests, unfortunately it is not possible to guarantee deliveries on specific days or times. We respectfully draw your attention to the following points and terms & conditions. 

Can i book a delivery day...?

When you place your order with us in store we will will book you the next most convenient day available with our suppliers and yourself.
Our suppliers use courier companies that will deliver your goods between 8am & 6pm Monday to Friday. No other time estimations are available with the direct delivery service.

What happens next...? 

The evening before your delivery we will contact the supplier on your behalf and then you will receive a text or phone call from Woodcote Green confirming your direct delivery.

Do i need to be there to accept the delivery...?

YES... A signature is required upon delivery of the goods. If no one is in to accept the goods the delivery will be taken back to the depot to be re-arranged and an additional charge will apply.


The goods will be delivered on a large articulated vehicle at least the size of a dustbin lorry. Access to the delivery address must be sufficiently wide enough and free of obstacles.


The goods will be off loaded at the rear of the vehicle using a tail lift and left on the nearest kerbside or hard standing area. Please ensure there is enough space for the driver to pull up as close to the delivery address as possible.


In order for the goods to be delivered safely the ground where the goods are being off loaded must be level. If the driver is unable to or feels it is not safe to deliver the goods they will be returned to the depot and additional charges may apply.


The delivery driver will use a hand operated pallet truck to move the goods off the vehicle and onto the kerbside of the property. The goods can not be pushed up or down a hill or on to gravelled, uneven or grassed surfaces.

Direct Delivery Terms & Conditions

Cancellations & Amendments
•Any cancellations require no less than 48 hours notice before the delivery date.
•Any cancellations once the product has been dispatched will incur a 20% re-stocking charge per pallet, plus a delivery charge of £60 per pallet which will be deducted from any customer refund.
•Any additional items or amendments require no less than 48 hours notice, please note additional charges may apply.

Direct Delivery Service & Access

•Items being delivered by our suppliers will be off loaded to the nearest kerbside area or hard standing.
•If the delivery address on your receipt is incorrect and the goods are delivered to the wrong address the customer will be liable for additional delivery charges of up to £60 per pallet.
•If in the opinion of the courier the ground or access over which delivery or unloading is required seems unsuitable for safe passage the courier may refuse to deliver the goods or will only deliver to the nearest accessible point. If the delivery needs to be re-arranged because of this the customer will be liable for additional re-delivery charges of up to £60 per pallet.
•The goods will be delivered direct by the supplier and/or the supplier’s courier. If the delivery is attempted and there is nobody there to provide a signature it will be taken back to the depot and re-scheduled for another day but will incur a re-delivery charge of up to £60 per pallet.
•It is the customer’s responsibility to receive and check the goods, once delivered the customer accepts responsibility for all goods. Any shortages or defects must be reported to Woodcote Green within 24 hours.
Times and Days
•Delivery times & days are approximate and can not be guaranteed. Woodcote Green can not be held responsible for any losses or labour costs incurred by the customer or his/her agent waiting for goods to arrive.

•Non stock items can not be returned unless the collection is within the published Woodcote Green delivery area, the goods are in the original packaging (untouched) and in the same location where the goods were originally delivered. This will incur a 20% re-stocking charge per pallet, plus a collection charge of £60 per pallet which will be deducted from any customer refund.
•Any returns made to the store are subject to our in store “Returns Policy”. If you require any items to be collected then a collection charge will apply.

Pallets & Packaging
•It is the customer’s responsibility to dispose of and recycle all pallets & packaging. Woodcote Green does not offer a recycling or disposal service.

The management retain the right to refuse delivery on any item at any time without prior notice. Any error or omission in this policy shall be subject to correction provided that the correction does not materially affect the policy. Updated: March 2017
