Height & Spread: 6 metres x 2.5 metres.
Planting Instructions: Water pot thoroughly and allow to drain. Dig a hole twice the size of the pot and fork over the base, incorporating a handful of general fertiliser and a bucketful of planting compost. Drive in tree stake a little off-centre. Remove pot and tease out any matted roots. Position tree against stake with top of root ball level with surrounding soil. Replace remaining soil, firming-in well. Secure tree to stake with adjustable strap.
Water: Water thoroughly when planting then at least once a week during the first growing season.
Pruning: In a small garden you can enjoy a young tree in its natural form for a while and then do some pruning to shape it, to expose the stem. Never prune a tree from January to March because the sap flows vigorously. The best time for pruning is July and August.
Feeding: Apply some general fertiliser every Spring.
